    if you can get onto the diabetes expert course i'd recommend it. wish id done it when i was newly diagnosed, lots of useful info. ask your nurse/gp. good luck. (oh i take 5 metformin tablets a day....no side effects)

    :D Thanks for the comments, they're not bothering me so guess i'll just wait and see. (Not sure i'd be brave enough to pick them out though, just the thought makes me cringe :shock: )

    Hi i had my gall bladder removed about 4 weeks ago and have 3 stitches as a result of the key hole surgery. They are meant to disolve with in 3 months. they still look very red although they dont hurt at all. was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience...shouldnt the redness...

    thanks for all the advice, will book an appointment with the diabetic nurse and take it from there. going off to read up on low carb diets now :) :)

    have had feet checked a couple of times in the last year, do try to keep them warm. sometimes they just ache (like now) even though they dont feel cold. they can get quite painful, will mention it again at the surgery. :( thanks for your help.

    hi, im a type 2 diabetic, ive been diagnosed for 16 months. still juggling meds, although i think we have my sugar readings fairly stable now. i often suffer from really cold, painful toes. my gp's comment...'its all part of the diabetes!' not overly helpful :? ......so does anyone else...
