Graphic Content Epic bleeding from Cannula site anyone had this?

Hi, Yes, once in a while (like maybe once a year) when I take out the canula blood will pour out. Never any pain and no adverse consequences. I assume just a bit too deep or nicking a bigger blood vessel. Bit of toilet paper compressed on it for a few min is the end of it.

    travel with pump question

Hi, I always unclip it and put it in a side pocket to my hand luggage (usually a backpack) and put it through the scanner with wallet belt watch etc. I’ve never had them question it yet. Most of the time I have a vial or two of insulin in my bag still sealed in the box, not in a little...

    Calling all pumpers!

I very rarely use the clip, only when there are no pockets or a belt. I find it causes the tube to poke into my side from time to time when to bend sideways. Renewing pump

Does anyone have any experience of renewing their pump? I have had a Minimed 508 for about 8 years. About 4 years in it started developing software faults and continually restarting itself. At the time I told Minimed, they sent me a new pump as a temp while mine was returned for repair and...

    Why....?

I tend to have a similar problem. I rarely eat breakfast but if I do, or if i have something mid morning it usually requires at least a couple of extra units to keep my BM it its normal range. I put it down to a lack of excess insulin after 8 hrs sleep, given that during the day its not...

    Pump Question

The new Minimed Paradigm has a built in BM monitor but (I believe) it is only designed for a few days use at a time. It is however slightly on the pricy side!
