Fat remains stored unless it is needed by the body. If you are low carbing, your body will use recently ingested fat as opposed to stored fat. When it has used the ingested fat it will begin to use the stored fat.

The proof has already been posted that fat that is not needed for energy is stored in adipose tissue. It cannot be excreted as it is absorbed into the liver and then the bloodstream. From there it is either used or stored.

Excess fat not needed for energy is stored. The products mentioned are the products of using fat not storing it.

You have not really addressed the issue under discussion at this point i.e. whether fat that is in excess of the body’s energy needs gets stored or excreted.

You cannot just make grandiose assertions that can affect people’s health if you have no evidence to back them up. That is reckless behaviour.

Can you point us in the direction of information that supports the excretion of excess fat? I found this and it does not support your assertion: http://rejoovwellness.com/1143/

    Research and Metformin

The evidence of the effects of Metformin beyond blood glucose control is now strong. Many existing medications are being investigated for repurposing, including exenatide for its neuro-protective properties for people with Parkinson’s Disease. That research is also positive. I see my endo for a pituitary problem and it was his view that taking the max daily dosage, if it can be tolerated, is of great benefit.

My surgery tried that on me but I resisted it and got my Endocrinologyst to back me. That worked and my Metformin was raised from 3 to 4 tablets a day instead of going from 3 to none!

Why would you think it is for marketing purposes? There is nothing magical about repurposed drugs. Many are now being researched for medical problems other than the one they have originally been approved for. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.endocrineweb.com/amp/18692...

    Research and Metformin

My post was directional. Of course there are many reports on past and current research into metformin. Let Mr Google be your friend. Interestingly, when my GP wanted to stop my metformin as my numbers were normal, my endocrinologist advised against that and advised me to go onto the highest...

    Research and Metformin

Hi @Mike D There are certainly possible downsides to a lot of things and medications are not immune from that. There is, however, a world of difference between possible downsides and actual downsides. Sadly some people have a down on certain medications because of possible adverse effects...
