    Thanks for the advice everyone I have my yearly check up at the hospital next week anyway so will bring it up then, it's not really a 'pain' as such it's more like a feeling of somebody pushing on my chest where my heart is, so is more uncomfortable than painful.

    Does anyone else experience or know the cause of chest pains, it feels like somebody is pressing on my chest where my heart is alot of the time, it's not so much painful just very uncomfortable, thanks.

    Yes I agree with you there it definatly! Sugar is addictive! But you know, it's upto the individual to treat there illness as they wish and if you look after yourself well most of the time the odd binge is not going to kill you as most 'diabetic nurses' who I find aren't even diabetic them...

    Oh god yes I can imagine mate! I respect that alot actually as I couldn't really imagine using big syringes, and yeah I have what I can eat and what to try and stay away from really I know what you mean about the spiking aswell I get that alot at college as I'm sat around alot, thanks very much...

    Hi Gaz, yes I have found myself doing this, not really to 'fit in' as such more as that's how I am as a person I like my food! But I am realising how much it will impact my later life and am getting on track now, I have got my Hba1c down from 146 to the 70's now so that is a huge improvement

    Sorry if I cause any further confusion but I am now also confused, if you say that a Hba1c it is measured in % then why is it when I was not looking after myself mine reached a peak of 146 at one point.?
