    Pregnant and struggling with BG

Hi. I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I'm struggling to keep my BG to the recommended levels - 7.8mmols 1 hour after eating. If I do manage it, I usually hypo shortly after. My hba1c was 55 and I'm worried as it wasn't under 48. Also I'm on antidepressants (which I really need) and am worried about...

Hi. I've been T1 for 5 months. Im on levermir and novorapid 1:10. When are you testing post meals? Because I was told you should be below 9 two hours post meals, which I am but if I were to test sooner than two hours I would be in the teens. Also I found that I needed less novorapid if I ate...

Gp trying to change my glucose meter!

Well I saw my GP and explained that I didn't want to change and gave my reasons, and he was fine with it. Relieved! I appreciate that the strips cost the nhs money, however I work and pay taxes and its not my fault that i've got diabetes. I've only had it for a few months so still testing a fair...

    Suddenly having lots of hypos...

Thank you for your reply. It is happening 2-3 hours after food usually so I guess I should maybe try 1:15. I have cut back to 4u levemir tonight. I'm guessing this is the 'honeymoon period' kicking in.

Thanks for your replies. Guess i'll just have to get used to it. She definately wasn't being nice though :-( Told my practice nurse today, she was appauled. I would expect this kind of ignorance if I worked in an office or supermarket etc, NOT from other nurses! Moan over! ;-) xx
