    Carbs

Hi I would just like to emphasise that everyone is different, if I were to eat a couple of sarnies a day and not any tatties or other carbs my bg would drop really low and I would end up having to gorge on a sugar drink/food to get out of a hypo. It all just depends what your body does with...

Ok, I'm new and I'm badly missing chocolate!

When I was working, I used to get the lads to give me their Mars bar wrappers to sniff, it would satisfy some of the choccie craving until I could make a small cup of cocoa with sweeteners, I also had an old drinking choc tin to sniff. How sad?

    Metformin and Prednisolone effects

Hi I suffer from Collitus (probably Crohns) which has been treated with predisnolone often and it always upsets sugar levels and even while in hospital medical staff arent always aware of this. Question about metformin

Yes once daily, I used to be on 4x500 once a day but i was prescribed these because the are easier on the stomach and I have Crohns, not sure if they cost more but push your GP and if they are suitable for you tell him they will be cheaper in the long run as you're less likely to forget them.

Why is being on Insulin viewed as bad?

Wow, dont fall out guys! I might wish I hadnt asked. But as a type 2 on insulin because of other medical reasons, and not because I'd failed I do understand how touchy we feel over the brought it on themselves attitude. I was a fit lifeguard when mine started and not obese but reports in the...

Why is being on Insulin viewed as bad?

Thanks for that reply, I've spent a lot of time wondering why I wasnt offered insulin earlier, apart from a couple of stabs a day life is almost normal now. Oral meds always have side effects.
