    What's going on? Elevated BG

I've just thought of something. On Tuesday, I had a Day Surgery 'pain injection' in my back. I'm not sure what was injected - but if Google is anything to go by it could have been Cortisone. I'll give you three guesses what that might do...... Not too bad, not like Becks Blue, quite...

    What's going on? Elevated BG

Well, it contains Malt, Wheat and Hops. They've apparently found a way to completely remove the alcohol. I can't believe that something that is brewed from those three ingredients is devoid of carbs!

33cl. I'm not sure those figures are correct at all TBH  Have emailed the manufacturer to confirm.

    What's going on? Elevated BG

Sorry to resurrect an older thread. This one, quite literally almost went back to normal after about a few weeks. Was it the cold? Who knows. So, for the last few months, I've had great readings, all within the 4-6mmol levels. I follow relatively good low-carb. My HBA1C was a 5.5 in March, so...

    GTF Chromium

Well, I managed to get 100% Wholefood off Ebay for £11 for 60. Holland and Barrett also do GTF Chromium for quite a lot less, but doesn't claim to be wholefood. Chris Barr recommends 300mcg a day:

    GTF Chromium

The important differentiation on this one is that apparently it's 100% WHOLEFOOD GTF Chromium that seems to be effective. Field studies and tests have usually gone with the Picolinate version which is different it seems and has mixed results. Getting 100% Wholefood GTF Chromium appears to be...

    What's going on? Elevated BG

As of yesterday, I seemed to have developed a cold. I've read that elevated levels can be related to this???

    GTF Chromium

I'll give it a try and let you know. :)

    GTF Chromium

That's what I'm doing. I can't find anything to debunk what he's saying. Plenty of things to say Chromium Picolinate doesn't work - well at least in lower doses and plenty about GTF / Chris Barr's assertions. Nothing to say it's been tested or dissproved.

    GTF Chromium

Can you point me in the direction of more information about Mr Quack??? :D

    GTF Chromium

Tried to look him up on this forum and can't find anything.

    GTF Chromium

GTF Chromium, not Chromium Picolinate. There's a guy called Christopher Barr, who is absolutely convinced that T2 is absolutely reversible with 100% Wholefood GTF Chromium 3 times a day (300mcg) He claims this has been known for 50 years. Chromium Picolinate does not work he says. He's...

    What's going on? Elevated BG

Hi All, I've not been through here in a while. Something strange (or indeed perfectly explainable) has happened with my BG. At the time of diagnosis about 1.5 years ago I used to get readings between 4-7mmol all the time. Indeed, my first HbA1C was 5.7. After Xmas, 6.4 and later a...

My visit to the Dorchester Diabetes Centre.....

Ally, She said that current thinking suggested that men in particular should be eating TEN pieces of fruit, women SEVEN. She was even holding up handfuls of grapes etc, which my practice nurse had advised against. What I was getting from her about not eating, was that it was OK to not eat...

My visit to the Dorchester Diabetes Centre.....

Diagnosed three months ago, I was invited to attend an 'education' afternoon at the NHS Diabetes Centre in Dorchester, Dorset. My thoughts on the visit: - I seemed to be the only one who really understood the condition. Many people knew absolutely nothing. I suspect that Google doesn't exist...

BG levels have dropped to normal?

You're right, but it's moral building if I can prove it.

BG levels have dropped to normal?

Thanks Dennis, most helpful. At the risk of sounding complacent - so did what I experience seem, normal? I apologise for the questions, but what I'm trying to prove is that perhaps, I don't have Diabetes Type 2, but a Pre-Diabetes condition.

BG levels have dropped to normal?

Thanks for this Dennis - had no idea. What is considered 'high' and for how long? Last night, in another 'test', I ate a pack of instant noodles - about 80g of carb and pretty high in fat. I started at 5.6mmol, after one hour went to 5.9, two hours went to 8mmol and stayed there. In the...
