I posted nearly exactly the same question a while ago [emoji5] I found if I try to keep to one hand per day (still end up forgetting which hand I'm on!) and use the sides of my fingers, keeping away from my thumb and index finger and looking for previous stab marks [emoji3]

I used Diabetes Kit for a time which actually shows you graphs on activity levels and blood sugar and over time you get quite a lot of information this way. One drop is quite good too but does take a bit getting used to.

I was diagnosed in June last year and am still on the mixed insulin, morning and before and dinner. I can almost guarantee my blood sugar is 12-17mmol 2 hours after eating and I keep getting told by the "professionals" this is normal as everyones blood sugar goes up and down during the day...

I get a similar thing but tends to happen when I'm high, hard to explain but tired eyes that do go a little bloodshot.

I make sure I change my needle every day, I'm trying really hard to remember which hand I'm using day to day and which finger too so that's probably not helping. I always keep to the sides and tend to stay away from my fore finger and thumb, I guess in time I'll get better at it.
