Can any one shed some light on something for me ?! i started taking metformin (500 mg x 2 )about 2 months ago now, my blood sugar levels are still around the 11 mark - lowest 10, highest 12 - it was 14 - i think - when i had my blood test. i would have thought by now my levels would be down...

brilliant - thanks :D i think i did it to close to the tip - i got the best amount of blood from the index in the end - not looking forward to doing it again - but am looking forward to seeing the result :)

i tried that i went 3 -2 -1 - ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and couldnt do it :) in the end i managed it - to find there were no lancets in it :(

i was considering doing that - i managed to get some out in the end - but took a hell of a lot :(

i heard you could do it with a automatic pump thing??? arent you worried about air bubbles or using too much?? i know i would! but to be honest i know they would feature in my art :D

hahaha tell me about it - i can look at rotten flesh all day long - but it comes to drawing my own blood i become a 5 year old girl :D still i'm sure it will get easier as time goes by. i hope it never comes to me having to inject - this is something i would find very hard to do.

the problem wasnt the machine turning itself of too quickly - more to do with getting enough blood out :D i've only got 6 strips left - so i will probably only test once a week till i run out.

the thing is - i'm not scared of it hurting - i know it wont - i think i've just gone mad :D i'm guessing its something ive got to get over. time will tell. the thing that gives me hope is the my Diabetic nurse said it wasnt necessary for me to test.
