Where to put a pump as a woman??

Hi MeganL, I also use the medtronic 640g, I've only had this pump for 4 weeks but had the Animas Vibe before this new one, the 640g is slightly bigger but I generally wear in in pockets in my trousers, jeans and dresses. I buy dresses with pockets and cut a small hole in the back of the pocket...

Could this be diabetes related? (Hand problem)

I've also had Carpel Tunnel in my right hand and when I went for tests I was advised that it was in my left hand as well but I didn't feel the left one was bad enough yet so only had the operation on my right hand. Animas supplies

I order direct through Animas web site, you can choose a delivery day, they use UPS so if you are not in they will take it to their nearest drop off, mine is a local newsagents shop, but I downloaded the UPS app and you can let them know of a safe place to leave your deliver or nearest shop...

Fashion design student, seeking advice and support to help those with type 1 Diabetes (pumps)

I use an Animas pump which is tubed, I find it a struggle sometimes to find clothes with pockets to put my pump in. I try to look for dresses with pockets and trousers. At night I just clip it to my pjs. I find if I clip the pump onto trousers it is too bulky when you have a nice top on over...

I'm sorry to hear that your wee one is having these problems, I know the feeling as I do not have any warning signs of hypos and I have trying to get my health board to pay for a CGM for me. My consultant at the diabetic clinic has put my case to the board but I have been turned down. I am...

    Pump or no pump?

I have an Animas Vibe pump which I have had for 19 months, at first I wasn't sure about it as there is a lot to learn but you are not on your own as your DSN will keep in touch to make sure everything is ok. I am so glad that I have the pump and definitely wouldn't go back to injections.

Please help - sign my petition to Scottish Parliament for CGM sensors

I wrote to my MP and the Health Minister and all they said that there were NICE recommendations and I should speak to my clinic, which I have done on several occasions but keep getting told the health board are not giving them any more funding.

Dexcom CGM not lasting as long

I am new to the CGM G4 so this is my first time using them, I am now over 3 weeks and it is still going and accurate. I have been refused funding as my health board has said there is no more funding available even though my consultant said I needed the GGM as I have no hypo awareness, so I'm...

NICE guidance on sensor augmented pumps.

I have disabling hyos despite being on an insulin pump for 1 year but I have been refused funding for the CGM. The consultant at my diabetic clinic put my case to the health board but they has said there will be no further funding, so I guess they do not agree with the NICE guidance.

Reading Insulin Pump Screen In The Sunshine

I know Heathero, it is so frustrating, its not easy when you are out and about and no cafe nearby but I guess I'll just need to make the most of it. I'm off to America for 3 weeks. Hopefully the makers will come up with something soon but I'll not hold my breath.

Reading Insulin Pump Screen In The Sunshine

I am using the Animas Vibe you would think the makers would have thought of this, it's a nightmare trying to read the screen. I use a kindle for reading books and their screen is perfect for reading in the sunshine. Oh well looks like nothing helps

Hi does anyone else have a problem reading their insulin pump in the sunshine. It is ok if you are just in your garden as you can go inside to insert your carb and BG details but if you are on holiday or eating out with friends I find I can't see the screen if the sun is shining, anyone got any...

CGM / Libre funding- who has it?

Thanks @catapillar I will have a look at INPUT's sister charity in Scotland. Every time I ask the clinic the reason for the Health Board turning me down for funding their reply is alway "there is no funding". Once consultant even said that I am lucky that I got funding for my pump!
