    Bad reaction to insulin

Hi there, My two-pence worth. Back in 1983, i was using probably the longest needles/syringes known to mankind. These days i use an 8mm job for both NovoRapid and Lantus. Never had a problem with the Novo regarding burning/discomfort et al, but, now and again, I do experience (for about 5-10...

    Meditag recomendation

Great stuff. Agreed that Balance constantly has adverts for the bracelets etc. I still wear the MEDIC ALERT stainless steel bracelet (with the old 01 for London telephone code) that i got around the time of diagnosis! (March 1983). Must get a new bracelet one of these fine days! DS

Testing BG has always been part and parcel of Diabetes, whatever the type. Having had...

    Dafne course.. should l go?

I really wish i could get on the DAFNE course. I keep getting fobbed off by doctors, hospitals, dieticians when all i would like is to be given a place. I have had Type 1 for nearly 30 years now, and the DAFNE course (as I have heard so very many good reports about it) would assist me no end...

    Looking for an expert

I had a horrible experience when i had a hospital admission in February 2009. The hospital consultant, who i had never met before, seemed more focused on posturing in front of his "team" who struggled to write down all that he was saying, while he looked out of the window and "number-crunched"...
