Please advise - libre sensor only lasted 24 hours.

Hey guys, thanks all for your replies they are very much appreciated. Now I know that Abbott are a good company to deal with and will send a replacement out if it's broken from the box. Please advise - libre sensor only lasted 24 hours.

Unfortunately this is what happened. I will copy the E-mail that I wrote to Abbott Belgium only to find they barely even exist and have no e-mail. It's nothing to the magnitute of Abbott UK/NL/US..... I'll preface by saying I'm a long suffering type 1 UK resident, with every single...

Type 1 Need some advice on changing Levemir to Toujeo

spoke too soon, I took the amount of fiasp which should have covered the carbs but as it was unlabelled food and I had to completely guess the carbs, I think it was 1unit fiasp too much. At least I've caught it and can treat it easy without expecting rebound. I'll still stick to the 6u toujeo...

    Injection sites ...

After years of only using my stomach I now rotate every single site. It caused such a buildup that my injections eventually stopped being absorbed and oblivious, i was convinced I'd become insulin resistant. Can someone correct me if I'm wrong but the site should be ok again after a few months...

    Missed insulin today

Fastest route to DKA ... background insulin is vital no matter what. If you need some help, please seek it. Also I really wouldn't be terrified of a reading of 11. But that figure is going to keep on rising with no insulin in you. I hope you feel better soon.

Levemir split injections - best times?

12 hours exactly apart gives me the best and most steady control. I do 12u respectively at10am/10pm and this works better for me than anything I've tried previously.

Hey, thanks. Been there with him before. He knows I look after myself and always react to a hypo so as to not affect my work. Is NO insulin in the body the ONLY cause of DKA?!

Hi Kim, really sorry to hear that and glad you are doing better. It really is horrible...there's good doctors and nurses out there but they are very hard to come across. I have good doctors now but every time I end up in that hospital back home it's the same old cr*p. It really is disheartening...
