Thanks for this, had never heard of it before this thread. Have ordered the 2 for a fiver post free. I already make my own bread and rolls, 2 carbs a slice, 4 carbs a roll, but I like to try new things.

    Wearing socks inside out

Yes I have started wearing my socks inside out recently. Not all of them. Only the ones with a hard seam across the toes. I can't remember where I read to do this but it makes sense to me. I had and am having problems with my feet so I will do things that will help minimize further problems.

    Diabetes alert dogs

We have had our dog for more than seven years. I do agree that you should think very carefully before you get a dog, more like an adoption as you may have your dog for many years. Before I was diagnosed with diabetes, I used to suffer regular gastric pains after eating my dinner, lasting about...

    Diabetic experts recommend not testing??

I bought myself a meter soon after diagnosis and test regularly. Having read many posts on this forum I didn't bother to ask my GP. Since September this year I have been to A&E 3 times. Even thought the doctors knew I was type 2 on Metformin they didn't seem to think there was anything wrong...

    NEWLY DIAGNOSED.. HELP

My HbA1c was 7.3% - 56 but I was retested two weeks later and it was 7.5% - 58. That's when I was formally diagnosed. I think it was retested in case it was a mistake. Mistakes can occur. It is after all a serious diagnosis. I was still in shock and disbelief at the time. After the first...
