I was told i had type 2 last December.
I was totally devastated to say the least, especially as i had rarely led an unhealthy lifestyle,or was i too much over weight. As the same as most of you on here i was put of metformin and various other drugs.
There was two ways i could have handled this.I...
On of the best games ive seen at St Marys for a long time, well second half anyway.A great result for Saints and although work is approaching ,im having a nice beer to celebrate.
Its days like this that make me glad i support the number one team on the south coast..
Ha im glad i wasnt the only one. When we took our youngest son to see Saints,we told him not to swear, but as we had season tickets in the Northam,he heard a lot of bad language.
We eventually made a deal that he could only swear at the ref or when we played pompey.
I know what you mean.Ive never eaten anything so boring and tasteless as wholegrain rice.In fact i think the word wholegrain actually means tastes like cardboard.
Really looking forward to today.Hopefully a big Saints win against West Ham,especially as i have a hammers supporting mate who gave me stick last time they beat us.

I have a few Saints tattoos,an old 50s microphone on one arm and two rings on the other.I also have an iconic picture of Elvis in concert in 1955 on my back.
I will put pics on here as soon as i have figured out how to post them.
As jay hay-char said above,a great win for the Saints with 3-0 against West Brom and earlier this week a 2-0 win against Watford.
Thats one of the reasons i love being a Saints supporter,so many highs and lows.

Sorry to hear your problems sequinn15.
I admit im becoming fed up because Ive had type two for about a month and when i was told,my first thought was i am going to beat this. But despite making a lot of changes,im still the same.I am nowhere near depressed yet,but i can understand why people get...
I agree with you ,that when visiting a supermarket its a nightmare knowing what you can and cannot eat.
I seem to read whats in the food a lot more now, rather than just picking what i always have. When i first went to a shop after i was told i had diabetes,i thought i would be better off...
Im totally with you ,being myself only told i had type 2 a month ago.I think theres never a good time to be told you have diabetes, but just before christmas can be very difficult to cope with, especially when everyone else seems to be drinking and eating too much.
Im still coming to terms with it...
Lets hope so,because we need to pull away from a possible relegation fight.Cant believe we beat Arsenal so easily yet cant play the same against West Ham?
As well as being put on Metformin,i have also been told to take one tablet of Zicron as well.
Looking through some of the other threads, there doesnt seem to be much mentioned about this drug.
I know what it does and why i have to take it,but im wondering if being prescribed this is fairly common?
