    Nhs care shocking

Hi there:) CBD oil is the 2nd most primary Cannabanoid found in Cannabis. It is completely legal, non psychoactive, organic and potentially one of the best natural medicines known to man. I use the CBD brothers blue edition which is a mix of hemp seed and CBD I believe. I take 5 drops 4 times...

Taurine supplementation for type 1 diabetes

Hey guys:) I have read into the benefits of supplementing taurine and have also discovered it can be very helpful for diabetes. I know taurine has an insulin like activity and can stimulate glycolysis and glucogenesis. I was just wondering if anyone has tried out supplementing taurine and...

Freestyle libre sensors worn on abdomen?

Hello again folks. I was just wondering if any of the Freestyle Libre users have tried a sensor on the abdomen area? (rather than the stated 'upper arm only'). If so, how have your experiences been with this? Have you found the results to be more accurate, just as accurate or less accurate...

    Freestyle Libre accuracy query

    Sneaky injections through clothing?

I'd be worried about what your putting the needle through before it goes in your skin. When washing clothes we tend to use products with a lot of chemicals. I can imagine peircing a needle into skin through some freshly washed jeans would cause some sort of exposure to the chemicals seen as...

Hi guys! So i have been recently given approval for funding from the NHS for CGMS (Continuous Glucose Monitoring System). My doctor has suggested before recieving a transmitting CGMS that i should give the Libre a go and see how that goes for me. I'll be getting 2 weeks worth of supplies on a no...

Anyone else on NovoMix30 and NovoRapid? How is your control, diet, routine etc? Thanks:)

It does sound good im just concerned that the way ive worked my life around my current insulin will change and i wont be able to do as i would now (skating and staying out late etc) i personally am not too fussed about eating whenever, it sometimes bugs me but im good at abstaining from eating...

Anyone else on NovoMix30 and NovoRapid? How is your control, diet, routine etc? Thanks:)

Thanks for the reply:) wholegrain i have tried and that for some reason spikes my bloodsugars worse. If i am exersising after doses i will have small amounts of wholegrain carbs to help keep me level but it doesnt do me too well having it at mealtimes.

Anyone else on NovoMix30 and NovoRapid? How is your control, diet, routine etc? Thanks:)

Tim, i believe the regime i'm on is because i have been on mixed insulin since childhood. I used to take Mixtard30 and actrapid but due to the stop in manufacturing i changed to NovoMix30 and NovoRapid. If i had been diagnosed in recent years i can imagine the norm would be the basal/bolus...

Anyone else on NovoMix30 and NovoRapid? How is your control, diet, routine etc? Thanks:)

I may also note that when i do any extra exercise (skateboard, dance around at a gig, spontaneous walking) i will do less insulin or eat carbs accordingly. If i go skating i wait 4 hours so my insulin peak has past and take extra carbs to keep me at around 9 - 10 or if skating after tea will do...
