    Got Libra 2 on prescription

I was doing the 8 tests a day only because my gp nurse who set it up advised me to before hand. Could have told me that was the reason.:) I've used Libra 2 before and never had any problems with it.

    Got Libra 2 on prescription

Just had meeting with Diabetic Nurse. Had all my reasons lined up for why I needed it. Was I in for a surprise. He just looked at my meter, noticed I had more than 240 tests in the last 30 days, and said I'd automatically get it. Didn't expect it to be so easy. :jimlad:

Are you using https://www.libreview.com? Seems to work perfectly for me on phone/tablet. :)

    Hospital deaths

T1 and T2 are completely different. It's like saying 25% of people with skin cancer or a limp are dying; it doesn't help either group.

    Corona virus isolation

The Ministry of Defence have been told to be on standby for complete UK lockdown as of Monday evening at 6pm... No one is to leave their homes unless you work in Front Line Retail or the NHS... I heard this directly from my neighbour Trigger who is best friends with a guy called Boycey. Boycey...

Around 10 Finger Pricks And No Blood!?

Best tip I ever got was to prick, wait a few seconds, pull apart the skin slightly and the blood will flow. Works everytime.

    donating blood?

I have a rare blood type that they are desperate for. Just before diagnosis I was going to start to donate platelets. I always gave blood. Unfortunately T1s are banned from giving in the UK. Always wondered if the benefits of giving could out way the problems.

Has anyone used Humalin S over Novorapid

Cannot give a comparison as I've never used Novorapid. Always used Humulin S and never have spikes. I do tend to bump along 4-5 munching mini chocolate bars whilst exercising.

Opinions wanted from fellow type 1's

Having to get up 30 minutes earlier in the morning to check my blood to ensure it is high enough to drive to work. That yearly trip to the doctor's to get the 'I've never seen anyone even close to results as good as yours before'. Other than that, no difference to pre-diabetes.

Finally some good news from the DVLA

It should be pointed out that this is not a hard rule. I've a job that is both physical and requires driving. More frequent testing than every 2 hours is not only useful but required by the DVLA.

    Diabetic eye test at Boots

Went along to my local Boots last week where I've had my eye test done for years. When trying to book the appointment was told that they weren't allowed to do them anymore. Is my local Boots been up to no good or is Boots withdrawing from the market?

Anyone With Type 1 And No Complications

Coming up on 20 years. Eat pretty much what I want, only had minimal training at diagnosis and guess on insulin. So no complications. Every DN always says they've never seen anyone like me. o_O Could be the physical job. :***:
