    Freestyle Libre Re-think...

I have the LibreLink app on my phone. I got it from apkpure. So much better than having to carry extra devices. I always have my phone with me anyway (it's pretty much attached to my hand) [emoji23]. Sent from my SM-N910F using Diabetes.co.uk Forum mobile app

Non Insulin Users: How has using the Freestyle Libre affected your Hba1C?

I went from 49 to 40, to 42[emoji24].The last month has been very stressful at work, I blame that for the increase. Hopefully things will get better again for the next one. Sent from my SM-N910F using Diabetes.co.uk Forum mobile app

No Hay Fever So Far This Year

I used to get really bad hayfever, like so bad I literally could not go outside during the high-pollen times. My husband keeps asking me why I haven't had hayfever yet this year. I have no idea. Although I did get a small reaction to something yesterday while sitting in the car waiting for him...

    Type 2 TRULICITY!

Can I ask why you're scared to take it? I am on Victoza which is a daily injection, it has really helped. I'm hoping when i see my endo on Tuesday that I'll either get my dosage lowered or maybe come off it completely. Sent from my SM-N910F using Diabetes.co.uk Forum mobile app

    victoza

I've been on Victoza for about 9 months, I'm going to see my consultant in a couple weeks and I'm actually hoping to get taken off it. I don't have any side effects from it, but I'd much rather try to control with diet and exercise. My last a1c test in April was 40.0 (5.8%). If I can come off...

    Glic/Met help please

I couldn't tolerate metformin. I work full time so there was no way I could afford to be house bound for any length of time. After trying several meds, my GP finally referred me to a diabetic consultant who put me onto Victoza. I got my a1c down to 40, and I've lost 4 stone. Sent from my...

    Rice substitutes

There is a brand called "Better Than" that does pastas and rice made from Konjac. Konjac has no carbs, is extremely low cal, and has been shown to help lower blood sugars. It works really well in curries and other dishes with a sauce. You wouldn't want to eat it on its own though as it doesn't...

    Victoza (Liraglutide) - weight loss?

It's not Amanda :D (happens all the time, don't worry). And yes, eating less. I usually have a slim and save shake for breakfast and sometimes lunch as well, and keep dinner low cal and low carb. I've lost 5 stone overall since diagnosis, 2 of that since I went on Victoza in August. I'm hoping...

    Victoza (Liraglutide) - weight loss?

I'm on it and I've lost at least two stone since I started it, but I don't feel like it is suppressing my appetite at all, I'm hungry all the time.

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

My last HbA1c was 49 at the end of November, down from 93 3 months before that. According to the mysugr app estimate, I'm at 46.1 now. It was dead on with the 49, so I'll trust it until I get my next test.
