Update Dating scan today - one very wriggly baby seen. All looking good so far! Very happy - just need to control the hypos!

Like you I have been having hypos between meals - my consultant said that hypos don’t impact on baby but are not good for the mum. I’ve tried to keep that in mind and it’s helped me to feel a bit less stressed.

Thank you all. I’m now 11 weeks and 3 days pregnant and have a scan this Thursday - feeling a little worried as not felt any nausea for a couple of days but trying not to think of the worst. Thank you myarnton1 for the offer of answering questions - you may come to regret it!

Hi all It has been a long time since I started this thread and the world has changed around us considerably! I just wanted to share a happier ending than my last few messages....... I am pregnant again, my HbA1c was 50 when last checked so a bit higher than the recommended 48 or below but...

Oh dear - 10.7 at 7.30am. Will chalk this up to stress as numbers have been higher for the past week after hospital discharged my mum without are care package in place and she ended up back in hospital after another fall less than 72 hours from discharge!

Hi Slip, I gave the new basal a week and I don't eat pasta or pizza as I am on a low carb diet. My mum has been in hospital and so it may be down to stress that I have had higher readings generally (only slightly). I guess I am trying to work out how I will know that my basal dose is set...

So I have tried to increase my basal dose by 4 units and my BG is till in the 7-10 range in the mornings - if the basal dose is correct what would you expect fasting BG to be in the morning?
