Indian Takeaway, Okay for Low Carb/Hi Fat?

I occasionally buy butter chicken or similar things with little or no heat whatsoever. I now never buy either rice or naan. If I have an Indian takeaway at all I just bung a cauliflower rice from Iceland in the microwave to go with it. Otherwise it's just the ubiquitous salad.

    Laxative chocolate despair

Hmmm, I didn't know there was such a thing. But I never liked liquorice all that much, and eating it wouldn't give me what chocolate gives you. I have a biggish log of completely unsweetened chocolate. But it's very hard to saw off any of it to eat... I've been wondering about melting it down...

    Laxative chocolate despair

Is anyone else lamenting the loss of their laxative inducing, no sugar chocolate? I only just discovered the existence of Mint flavoured (among others) no sugar chocolate - I was absolutely thrilled with it. The laxative effect just meant I didn't eat much at a time to limit that. However, then...

    Milestone Day

I just had to tell you guys about this: Today is a wonderful day. I went to Tesco's today and I was looking at the lovely colourful clothes in the Highwoods Branch and I thought I'd just ask how you tell what size you are - especially when you are loosing weight all the time - I LOVE being able...

Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

2 sausages about 8 cherry toms and a handful of salad leaves with balsamic dressing... well, I say 'dressing' but what I really mean is I was too lazy to mix the olive oil, salt, pepper and balsamic cider vinegar, so I just poured a dribble of oil and vinegar over the leaves and added salt and...

Wrong Time On CodeFree Meter - Help?

As my time machine is currently out of order, and thinking about having some times correct and some not, I'm beginning to think along the same lines as Sirmione, and just leave it - so that if I do need to change the times at any point I won't have to remember where I adjusted the time, but only...

Wrong Time On CodeFree Meter - Help?

It's on page 21 (you do date first) to 23 of the little "User Instruction Guide" book that you get with your meter. But although I can do that, I can't tell how to adjust previous day's times that are wrong because of the clocks going back, or was it forward? And there's nothing that I can find...

Wrong Time On CodeFree Meter - Help?

How do I correct this? This meter obviously doesn't take account of when we set the clocks back here in the UK, and I didn't think to check. I only just noticed that the time is wrong. This'll give me incorrect times for when I've been testing, right back to whenever the clocks went back and...

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

6.3 this morning at 7:17am - I'm absolutely thrilled! That's the lowest I can remember it being. Ate 4 cherry toms and it only went up to 6.8 at 10:14am - brilliant!

How did you feel about switching onto injections?

Did controlling it with diet not work for you then? (I'm asking because that's what I'm trying to do right now.) and I'm terrified of the idea of injections.

    Vegetable twisters/spiralizers

I've tried Lindt chocolate - I don't like it at all, it's too sharp, I've had Green & Blacks, much better, in fact anybody's is better than Lindt, but I'm not eating chocolate these days, too much sugar. I don't want any BS spikes, so I've cut it out totally. But thanks anyway.

    Vegetable twisters/spiralizers

I got one in the Range for £7.99, it has suction feet to fix it to the surface, and I love it, want to use it more than I do though. I've only used it for courgetti, but there isn't much else I can eat, since butternut squash and sweet potato are out. (unless I want to go over my carb...

Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

Today I had coffee and cream during the day, about 3 or 4 cups, then Chicken wrapped in streaky bacon, with rosemary and knobs of butter, and a red onion cut into 1/8ths, then a creamy tomato & onion sauce poured over the top after about half an hour at 180C, cooked for another 20 or 30 mins -...

For those on low carb - do you ever have bread or potatoes?

Gosh, that looks interesting Fido78, is there a recipe for it? Or rather an English translation for the recipe? I also found the recipe for: Rødbede-rösti, which I believe is Beetroot Rosti? Shame I can't understand them, they look so nice. And I've been looking for a beetroot rosti recipe...
