If Levemir takes 2-3 hours to start working and only works for about 10 hours, then wouldn't it be sensible to split it into 3 doses? I take it at 11am and 11pm but get a spike at about 1pm and 7pm. I think I'll try 7am, 3pm and 11pm to see how it goes.

I don't know if this thread is still active but I'm a Type 1 living in Harlow. I was diagnosed in 1988 when I was 25. Now I avoid carbs and have lost most of my excess weight. LCHF is the way to go for Type 1s.

Most companies will send you a free meter with ten or so test strips and their finger pricker. I use the Freestyle mini finger pricker with my Glucomen Areo (which is okay but not brilliant).
