I'm sorry to read this. Yes, it's not ideal for you at all. Someone suggested I do that but would mean waking at 3am on a work day. Unfortunately this issue which I posted still remains an issue. I'm on Tresiba which has been great, but every short acting I've tried is still taking ages...

Driving licence revoked for being hypo unware T1

Thank you, I will see what the DSN I'm speaking to tomorrow, says. As stated, another lady I know has been trying to get hers back for a year, so do not hold out much hope. They took my application passport photo, scanned it and never returned it, despite my application being rejected. Not best...

Driving licence revoked for being hypo unware T1

Yes thank you, I'm going to tomorrow. It is unclear as to when I can reapply. I've waited 5 months for a response. A lady on another group I'm on has had the same problem. She's also got her hypo warnings back, but DVLA has still revoked it. Her case has been going on for over a year.

Driving licence revoked for being hypo unware T1

Looking at my G7 stats tonight over 90 days: 6% low 3% very low They've got me on hypo unawareness, but it's been years since I've needed assistance and self treat my own lows. Am a member of a group for T1 folks who have received their 50 year medal and a number of them are complaining that...

Driving licence revoked for being hypo unware T1

Evening All, My driving licence which I'd sent for renewal in July along with documents saying I was on a Dexcom G7 for my hypo unawareness, has come back today, revoked. I had sent a letter outlining I'd been put on this and the baseline had been raised so I could catch my hypo's around the...

Thanks! Do you design your own? What labels do you use? Thinking of printing up my own but want a material that will last in the shower and take the printer ink.

    Freestyle Libre Decor

Hello, I've been looking online at the Freestyle Libre stickers you can get. Considering the price - thinking of printing my own custom style ones. Some have a small hole in the centre and some don't. Know people that wear securing patches with no holes so assume a central hole is not...

Moving From Humalog To Novorapid - Fifth Change In 8.5 Months

Ahhhh I'm so sorry this is so late. I had to ask how to reply to old posts and only found out this week as left it late to ask! Not been checked for coeliac, thyroid is treated with Thyroxine. I am on U100 and wonder of I can if I can get concentrated Novo, will have to look. I've tried two...

T1 short acting insulin taking hours to work tried three.

Hmmm yes I thought it was odd also. I asked my DSN and she agreed with the Dr o_O. Blood sugars are a bit erratic if I eat carbs, have given up most of them to stay level as have to inject copious amounts if I eat them. I take a maximum of 14 units short in the entire day, and yes I carb...

Hello All, I've been T1 for almost 46 years, new to the pen regime (less than 18 months, was on Bovine before). My short acting insulin is taking HOURS to work (around 4). I've tried rotating sites, different needles, and different insulins. I've only ever met one person with this issue. Dr...

T1 considering permanent move to USA

Hello All, Is there any insurance plans for UK residents considering a permanent move to the USA for insulin and healthcare costs? Asking for someone else. I've told them it would be better to get a job with health insurance to fund the costs. Please could anyone advise on the best course...
