    Yeah, well he found 6kph a bit strenuous, hence only being able to do 9/10 minutes. The biggest challenge is getting him to read the manual. Baby steps...we're on the right track...I think! Once again, thank you Phoenix for being right on the button!

    Great news! The treadmill was delivered today. Hubby checked BS 2 hours after lunch - 7.1. He then went onto the treadmill for 10 mins (it was as much as he could take first time) walking at 6kph and took sugars again - 6. What a result!!!!

    Here is a link for some information about flying as a T1 diabetic. It would probably be wise to contact the airline AND the airport you are travelling from with regards security issues with hypodermics. You can see by my (few) posts that I am a diabetes novice, but I am the supreme "Google"...

    Thanks for the link Cherub. Fortunately, my husband has been given a test kit and strips. I guess it will be trial and error. I think I'll suggest he exercises about an hour after breakfast...before the Metphormine kicks in. I just want to say that I am furious that so many people on this...
