    Type 1's What is your BG in the morning?

    5.6 this morning which for me is good,normally between 6 to 8 Am on Insulatard 13 units at night & Novorapid 8/9 units in morning, 6 units at lunch and 12 before dinner . Could anybody advise how to get BG regulary between 5 and ?? Comments would be appreciated :) :)

    Hi, I found that normal milk with Oatibix would mean I was in double figs BG for too long after breakfast. So I changed to unsweetened soya which now means that I am very rarely into double figs after breakfast. It also contains very little carbs and I find that the cereal masks the taste...

    Wine that doesn't affect BG reading (for me anyway..)

    anybody come across Banrock Light White Wine 5% abv...its rated as dry . Tastes more like medium dry to me and doesn't affect my BG's AND the great thing is half a bottle is only 2 units so I don't feel like i'm missing out and the Quacks happy too!! Woo Hooo :D Hasn't affected my BP either !

    Had a very pleasant afternoon wandering round the local garden centre, then a nice Americano with a splash of milk......thought I could chance half a plain scone (as my BS tends to dip about 3 or 4ish) but oh no ..tested at home ..11.9.
