    Theory Test

    I took my theory test a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't allowed to take anything into the test area, not even a Mars Bar. I explained I was a type 1 Diabetic and was told that I would have to come out of the test area to get the Mars Bar if I started to feel hypo.

    Hi new to type 1

    Arite mate, I know it's easy to say, but don't let it get you down. It's confusing at first, but you soon get used to it. As for advice, you would have to be a bit more specific as otherwise the amount of advice you could get would only confuse you even more.

    Just because your parents have diabetes doesn't mean that you will become diabetic yourself. While it is hereditary, it is known to skip generations. My Nan had type 1, my Mum and my Uncle don't have, but me and my brother, do.
