    Lowering HBA1C

Hi, I am higher in the morning and in the evening. Definitely notice a connection with that. I am trying not to eat my evening meal late as that makes me higher in the morning. No basal testing yet. Thanks

    Lowering HBA1C

I am T2 on insulin. I take Levemir twice a day and Novorapid when I eat. My HBA1C is 50 /6.7. I am in range around 90% of time. My diabetic dietician is delighted, but I would like to be a bit lower. Is this a good idea? How do I do it? Do I take more Levemir or up my ratio of Novorapid? Any...

    Flying with Libre 2

Hi, I am flying for the first time since starting insulin. I wear a Libre 2 monitor. All meds will go in han luggage, along with spare Libre 2 monitors. Can this go through the normal hand luggage xray machine please?

    Anti-GAD Status

Thanks. Really don't know why they didn't do c-peptide when they did the GAD! Hopefully get to the bottom of it within a month or two and I start to feel better. I just feel that for the past couple of years that I was a rubbish diabetic and it was all my fault even though I know I shouldn't!

    Anti-GAD Status

Thank you. I am on the higher end of normal but do carry my weight around the middle. Family generally slim. Spoke to hospital today. Have to detail a week's food input along with bs levels to see if I can improve my diet (I don't see this possible). Will then have an appointment with consultant...

    Anti-GAD Status

Hi, I requested a copy of my medical records and found a letter from over a month ago regarding my current situation. Although I had a negative Anti-GAD status it said I had a relatively slim phenotype. I have no idea what this means! It goes on to say that the way I present, my diabetes is...

Frustrated HBA1C Not Going Down Fast Enough

Hi, I am on the upper end of normal weight but could certainly afford to lose more. Lost about half a stone since going lower carb. I am less bloated so physically look like I have lost more. I have peripheral neuropathy so take pregabalin and duloxetine for pain. I have been type 2 for 22...

Frustrated HBA1C Not Going Down Fast Enough

Thanks for the quick reply. I am really unhappy at 89 as well but Doctor says just keep trying. Breakfast: Keto Porridge (hemp hearts, chia seeds, flax seed, dessicated coconut, almond milk) Lunch: Subway salad with no sauces Dinner: Airfried chicken, peppers, onions, mushrooms, hallumi...

Frustrated HBA1C Not Going Down Fast Enough

I am really struggling with my T2 diabetes at the moment. My HBA1C was 127 4 months ago. Got results today and it has gone down to 89. I found this really disappointing as I have massively improved my diet. Can this be considered a good drop in 4 months or am I right to be really disappointed?

    Dawn Phenomenon

Thank you, I was surprised I could skip breakfast without gnawing my arm off mid-morning. I am the opposite to you, and get hungry in the evening.

    Dawn Phenomenon

Hi, struggling with blood sugar levels but taking advice on here and also experimenting. My BS are very high in the morning. I have tried not having breakfast and only eating between 12 and 6pm. However, my levels go up before lunch, rather than down. Any point not having breakfast? Thanks.

How long after T2 diagnosis did you start insulin

Hi, how do you know if you produce too much insulin and are insulin resistant? Any help very much appreciated.

Really Struggling to get BS Down

Wow, I feel faint at the thought of not eating for 12 hours! I know you said you don't count calories but it must be quite large meals to get what you need for the day. I am intrigued by this! I work in an office during the week but I am a support worker at the weekend and do a 24 hour shift...
