    Injection rooms?

Just needed to have 1 last say on this thread. I think that the medical advice that is and has been handed out by doctors nurses and alike seems to vary widely from place to place and time given. I distinctly remember a doctor saying to me when i was first diagnosed,"we use each needle once...

    life expectancy

Dont be disheartened by statistics they dont take everything into account. Non diabetics can die young the same as diabetics can live to a ripe old age. If theres one thing ive learnt its to make the most of life and enjoy it as much as you can. Stressing about it is just as bad for you. Dont...

    Unconcious after hypo

I think it can be serious, I suppose how deep the hypo is and how fast asleep you are both matter. On the few occaisions ive had hypos and woke myself up I find im much more confused at night than in the day so glucose of some form closeby is a good idea. On the other occaisions my partner has...

    Unconcious after hypo

Ive been diabetic for over 20 years now and have found I always get a bit of a warning of hypo so have never passed out. Harder if you go hypo at night though, so always keep some glucose nearby.

    Injection rooms?

True. Dont know that they would pay me very much anyway. No I must say I tend to just inject in my stomach when I go out (less fuss). But I still think it would be nice to be considered by large chains of food establishments. It seems its ok to breastfeed in public these days (and fair...

    Injection rooms?

Perhaps if we all stand in the middle of the restaraunts and drop our trousers/skirts to inject then we can charge entertainment fees.

    Injection rooms?

Does anyone else hate having to inject insulin in dirty toilets? I often inject into my thighs, i rotate to different areas but dont like injecting into my stomach as this gives me fatty lumps. When i go out for a meal I dont want to drop my trousers in the middle of the restaraunt as people...

    Flu jab 2010/2011

Re: Flu jab 2010. sorry hope my message was not seen as anti flu jab. I posted it as an answer to another thread and it was moved here as it refers to flu vaccine. I am a total believer that the flu vaccine is safe and was not trying to question that. Just wondered if the jab or perhaps...

    Flu jab 2010/2011

Flu Jab 2010 Hi im type 1 and have been for 21 years now, I have had several occaisions where flu jabs have seemed to throw my sugars for a day or two. But it never lasts long. I dont know wether its coincidence or if there is link with some flu jabs. Does any one know if there is a link? Pef

    Diabetes does kill

Hi all, This is my first visit to this forum and I wish to start by offering late condolences. It is a hard time when a close one dies. Please remember though that being told you are diabetic is like being hit with a sledge hammer. Please dont hold it against someone who has trouble dealing...
