Glucose Goddess and Type 1 Tom

Has anyone out there with Type 1 read the Glucose Goddess, and adapted any of the recipes etc? How did you get on? I haven't bought the book and am interested to know if the recipes give the carb count per portion etc? Plus has anyone been on Type 1 Tom course? I came across him on social media...

    Constant highs!

Why oh, why are there days when high blood sugar simply will not come back into normal range? I seem to get random days, and using corrections or taking extra quick acting makes absolutely no difference whatsoever or takes so long to come down , it's insane. Anyone else with this issue?

Dexcom G7/G6 and flying - xray machines

Security when leaving Brussels insisted on opening my spare Dexcom G7 sensor, breaking the seal on the plastic packaging housing the actual sensor, and looked inside. Does that mean that sensor is contaminated now and should just go in the bin? I was furious about this as it had not been opened...

Dexcom G7/G6 and flying - xray machines

I believe, according to the Dexcom website, if you ask for a visual search only for the G6/7 sensors and once the packaging is still in tact security, SHOULD comply. The sensors get damaged in the xray so they shouldn't go through. Im heading to Brussels next week, and i really hope they follow...

Vegetarians: What have you eaten today?

Thank You! I wear a cgm and know that often my bloods are going great, exactly where they should be and then boom, dawn phenomenon. I've adjusted my night time (split dose) Lantus down to 4 units. It was 5 units but tended to go low overnight on that. Still the issue persists with morning highs.

Is it possible to go low-carb and eat healthily? My bloods are driving me insane, especially my fasting blood. Always rubbish and spend all day chasing the high and resulting in high hba1c.

Hi! Can I ask(anyone out there) if Dexcom G6 is compatible with Android Auto? I would love to be able to see my BS on my car touch screen particularlywhen i am on a long journey. Dexcom g6 and Dexcom Clarity

Dexcom were extremely helpful. Apparently the phone updating was the culprit. Rolling back on the update was suggested but that seemed extreme. Uninstalling and reinstalling a number of times n ensuring location was allowed eventually proved to be the solution. I'm not entirely sure how it...
