Moving Counties - Do I keep my funding?

Hello everyone once again! I currently have funding from my GP for the Libre and also funding from my hospital for the pump. I'm still on trial with the pump but it's looking very likely that I will be keeping it. I'm now looking at moving out from home. Ideally I want to move out of Cornwall...

I Feel Like I'm Just Injecting Water

So my levels are back to normal all of a sudden so there doesn't appear to be a pump problem. The only thing I have changed is the location of my infusion set. I tried it for the first time on my leg to give my stomach a break and that seems to be where the issue started. Put it back on my...

I Feel Like I'm Just Injecting Water

I've never done a basal test so no actually

I Feel Like I'm Just Injecting Water

Ok, thank you. It's just really weird that my basal is obviously working but any of my bolus injections are doing nothing.

I Feel Like I'm Just Injecting Water

I've been through 3 different batches since this started. Started a new one on Thursday last after picking it up from the pharmacy.

I Feel Like I'm Just Injecting Water

I'd never considered that actually. We do have a 24/7 helpline for Medtronic. It may be worth a go actually.

I Feel Like I'm Just Injecting Water

Ok, guys, I'm having some big issues lately and just wondering of anyone has any advice while I wait for my nurse to get back to me after the weekend. Currently on a six month pump trial and I need to get my a1c down to 66 to be able to keep it. It's gone well so far, I had my first a1c test...

Does the MiaoMiao/a CGM make a difference?

I found this on their website regarding the manual: There are a few different ways to get the user manual. We highly recommend you to read it before you use it in the first time. 1. You can scan the QR code on the MiaoMiao2 box. 2. you can find it at the bottom of our home page. 3. Download it...

Does the MiaoMiao/a CGM make a difference?

I don't have a smartwatch at the moment but have always been tempted by one. Does it only work on specific watches? I have an Android phone, specifically Samsung, so have only looked at the Samsung Gear Watches.

Does the MiaoMiao/a CGM make a difference?

Thanks for the advice, everyone! I went ahead and bought a MiaoMiao so now I just need to sit and wait. It's the alarms that I'm interested in more than anything. Sometimes, highs and lows can evade my attention at work so they'll come in really handy. Excited to give it a go!

Does the MiaoMiao/a CGM make a difference?

You can buy it directly from https://miaomiao.cool/. It looks simple enough to setup, just stick it to the sensor and your arm and there's a choice of 3rd party apps that should just pick it up automatically via bluetooth. I'd suggest having a read of the website, that's where I'm getting most...

Does the MiaoMiao/a CGM make a difference?

Hello! I've seen so many people mention the MiaoMiao to be used with Libre sensors and I've always been interested in it. I'm about ready to bite the bullet and buy one but it's a fair bit of money to spend out for me. I'd just like to get opinions from anyone who has the MiaoMiao, or even just...

Large Spike after Breakfast - Alternatives?

Day 1 success! I cooked up an egg and bacon muffin last night and then warmed it for breakfast this morning. 25g of carbs and ate around 20 minutes after injecting. I started on 7.2 when I woke up and never went above 11 after eating. No real spike at all and I had my best day ever today...

Large Spike after Breakfast - Alternatives?

Yeah, 40g for cereal, around 10g for milk

Large Spike after Breakfast - Alternatives?

I much prefer eating in the morning. I wake up feeling hungry and don't really want to wait until lunch. I'm gonna give different breakfasts a go and see how if it makes a difference. Thanks for the suggestion!

Large Spike after Breakfast - Alternatives?

I think I'll look at changing my food to something lower carb and won't shoot me up into oblivion! I seem to do ok with bread as long as I wait 20 minutes after injecting but I'll look into options.

Large Spike after Breakfast - Alternatives?

Yeah, I don't mind spiking because it's expected. My only issue is the spiking up to almost 20 and it can sometimes throw off the rest of my morning. I'm gonna try something different other than cereal I think and see if it makes a difference!

Large Spike after Breakfast - Alternatives?

Hi everyone. I've been on my insulin pump alongside my Libre for almost a month now. I'm seeing some improvements but not enough - I have the pump funded for another 5 months where I then need to have dropped my a1c by 10-20mmol/mol or I lose the funding (and there's no way I can afford to fund...

    Reusing Medtronic Reservoirs?

I was told to setup the account myself with all my personal details and such and then I had to input my hospital and NHS number so Medtronic could verify my funding. They still haven't verified it and I don't know whether it's a Medtronic problem or hospital problem. I contacted my specialist...

    Reusing Medtronic Reservoirs?

Thanks for the advice. I've left an email for my pump specialist so she should see it tomorrow. Fingers crossed she can provide me with something.
