[emoji638]mmol difference between Libre and G[emoji640]

Hi. Hope your shower went well. I can share in your excitement as I swapped MDI for the omnipod [emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]] at the beginning of March and I’m loving it too! Big learning curve for us both, but as you say - so worth it!

    Type 1 SkinTac

Hi. Thank you for the info. That is the spray I bought so I’ve now got a couple of options. (And know how to use them). I’m interested in your experience with the omnipod 5 and your nighttime lows. How odd as that’s the very problem it boasts that it solves. I do hope you get it sorted but...

    Type 1 SkinTac

Thank you so much. I’ve tried those patches but was terribly allergic to them! It just goes to show how everyone can have a different reaction. At the moment I’ve got the pod on my abdomen and a tegaderm on my libre which is on my arm. But I do think I’m going to have to try the skin tac...

    Type 1 SkinTac

Good advice - thank you. I have sensitive skin and worried that the omnipod adhesive would irritate me but it’s been fine. A skin test somewhere else is a great idea.

    Type 1 SkinTac

Hi all. Hoping for a bit of advice…. I’ve just gone onto the Omnipod 5 after years of volatility and struggling. What a learning curve, but overall it’s going well. I’m finding that the adhesive on the pods is great and stays put, which is a relief. However I’ve still got sticking issues...

    Urgent. Can anybody help?

Good morning. Hoping someone can help me. I’ve evidently had a massive bout of brain fog yesterday and for the first time in 15 years of having type 1 I’ve forgotten to take my background. I’m on Tresiba, 14.5 units and I take it at 6 pm. I woke up unusually high and was trying to work out...

    Kalms

I’ve occasionally used the kalms lavender tab which work well for their intended purpose and they haven’t interfered with blood sugars.

Absolutely, Lakeslover. Thank you for that.

    Shuggah

So can I just clarify …. My DSN has told me to start my next sensor with my phone in order to get cgm for the LibreLink graphs. (For her). I’m happy to do that but not if I can’t get Zukka or Shuggah to work, because, as you know, as a user the functionality on the watch is invaluable. I...

    Shuggah

Hi Rachox, Mmmm ….the answer is I’m not sure because I still start my libre with the handset. I think Debbiescott might have a view on that as every time this topic comes up us same forum members get involved and I think that aspect has been mentioned before. I myself have only just been...

    Shuggah

Further update from me … I found the Zukka app when I searched for “Shuggah”. It came up under that search in App Store. I’ve downloaded it and got everything working on my iPhone, attached it to day 8 of existing sensor and got it to pipe through to my Apple Watch. The only thing I’m...

    Shuggah

I am a massive Shuggah fan and I’m part way through the life of a libre so it is still working for me but I’m dismayed to hear a problem might be round the corner. Have you been able to connect to Zukka at all, especially with the Apple Watch? I too have contacted Shuggah in the light of...

Thank you so much for going to the trouble to explain that. All sorted.

iphone ios 17 update shuggah apple watch

Hi holdem. Sorry for being a bit dim but I’ve been having the same problems and followed your instructions earlier. Mine was great too and now it’s gone again. Would you mind just telling me how to do that. I’ve been through all the obvious things and can’t find where to allow all contacts...

    Clarithromycin, Levemir and hypos?

P.s I looked it up at the time and it said it had “stomach emptying qualities”, which heightened insulin sensitivity. I think sometimes it can be prescribed in low doses to reduce insulin resistance from what I remember. I’m sure somebody will jump in if that’s not right. I’m going by memory.

    Clarithromycin, Levemir and hypos?

Hi. I had the same experience with Erythromycin, for sure. But I was on it for 3 months ( a few times for Rosacea), so had to change background and ratios each time.

Avoiding fructose - best home-mixed drink for low blood glucose?

Hi. Very interesting reading and info. Thanks for that. You could try “Lift” glucose liquid. Available from Amazon in little transportable bottles with 15g carb in each. They are pure glucose so it doesn’t have to be converted by the body , like for example digesting a jelly baby. So the...

Type 1 12 years of type 1 and I have never experienced this!

I have this all the time and end up having to recalibrate my background, and doing the best I can to stay safe with fast acting until the rapid dropping settles down and then I can introduce proper fast acting ratios again. Even though I’m on Tresiba, I get this phenomenon from time to time...

    usually low for a week

In my case it won’t be monthly cycle related as I’m into the menopause now. But it could definitely be hormone related due to the menopause I guess. I’m on MDI so just having to feel my way through it. My evening meal ratio last night was still 1:40. It’s a bit of a challenge being so sensitive.
