Thanks Pilgrim, I do split it at the moment. I take my levemir in the morning at about 7 am and I take my evening one just before bed, which can be anywhere between 10 and midnight. Didn't know whether to change and take it at 7 pm to make an equal 12 hours?

I felt my first hypo at 6.7 five years ago. After a bit of time you will be able to get this lower. Everyone is different but I don't think it is unusual to hypo at a higher level when first diagnosed.

I have no idea I'm afraid, hopefully someone else can help you with that. Fingers crossed they are better than Lucozade.

Re: Driving I read something recently that says you must be able to provide 3 months worth a readings. I think this is from your blood glucose monitor but I'm not sure. I can't get on the DVLA website to find out but I'd check if possible.

My other half told me the other day, not sure if it is true, that if you were to eat the solid equivalent of sugar from coke which works out at 39g, you would be violently sick but coca cola put something (phosphoric acid, I think he said) to combat it!
