    Night glucose levels drop fast

If you Google 'libre 2 domed covers to prevent compression lows' there are a few options to choose from including Amazon and Etsy @daisychain21 I have no experience using any of them, but seems to remember someone else on the forum used them.

    CGM useful or not?

That's brilliant @LittleGreyCat I hope you've recovered from your procedure.

What's your experiences on the Omnipod 5 pump?

Have you tried replacing the pod and a new bottle of insulin, as it could be either of these that aren't working.

What's your experiences on the Omnipod 5 pump?

I was simply trying to help. If it doesn't apply, disregard it.

What's your experiences on the Omnipod 5 pump?

Really sorry you're having a hard time. It could be your basal that needs adjusting, so it's probably worth doing a basal test if you haven't already done this. Hot weather means I need less insulin, whilst others need more. What levels are your high and low alarms set at? Can you set another...

    Ketone Meters

I'm sorry you had such a terrible night, how scary!! It's good you've got a hospital appointment on Tuesday, and are getting Dexcom. As @Lakeslover said, write down anything you want to ask them, and yes, I'd ask about Tresiba, carb counting and correction doses. Oh, and also how to treat a hypo...

    Ketone Meters

When my blood sugar goes over 11 I get insulin resistance, and I need more than my usual correction dose. It also takes longer for bloods to start dropping, the higher the blood sugar, the longer. Have you been given advice on correction doses? It takes time to find out how much basal...

    Laser treatment for retinopathy

Sorry you've been told you need laser treatment. I was scared before I had this, but went ahead, and was glad I did. They make sure your eye is numb by putting drops in, and it's helpful to take sunglasses for when you leave, as you can be dazzled in the daylight until the drops wear off. You're...

Tandem T-Slim X2: a sudden rise in Occlusion Alarms

To test if it's a faulty pump, I'd disconnect the pump from my body, and try to dose to see if it still gave an occlusion alarm. You'd need to give the corresponding amount of insulin by pen if the pump does dose ok.

    Type 1 Tresiba 200

I've never used it, so maybe this is a daft question, but I just wondered why you were moving to flextouch 200, rather than 100.

Anyone else having intermittent problems accessing the forum?

As the title says, I've been having intermittent problems over the last few couple of days. I'm using a web browser, not the app as usual.

At what point do you stop treating a hypo?

I always check low cgm readings with a finger prick test as cgm's can give a lower reading than blood, and also I find they take a lot longer to start the upward trend during/after a hypo. Blood tests give a clearer indication of how much hypo treatment to take, and when to stop. Without...

    BD Needles

I would think it was because BD needles are more expensive, so the chemist loses out financially.

    Dry Eyes

My optician suggested Hylo Forte, and when I was still struggling with dry eyes, the hospital eye clinic Consultant prescribed Hylo Night (it's an ointment). I now get both on prescription and like them. Edited to add - they can both be bought over the counter.

    Type 1 neuropathy

It could be that an increased prescription for Pregablin or another medication would help. Likewise maybe 2 different medications together may be more effective as @grantg mentioned. If you haven't already tried that, you could maybe discuss the possibility with your GP.

Insulin and self medication in hospital

Where did you keep your insulin, and if you needed to give extra insulin outside of meals, what happened?

Insulin and self medication in hospital

Thanks @Bill_St I dread the thought of having to be admitted to hospital because of issues like this.
