Any tips for lowering blood sugar when it’s high for no obvious reason?

At last ... prescribed testing strips !

Been a while since I posted on here . Not been too well lately , when I was first diagnosed my grumpy old GP was one who didn’t think T2 should test . I have been seeing a different lovely GP for a few weeks and she has put testing strips on my prescription. She’s an excellent doctor.

I would think until you start testing again it would be best to carry on with your meds .

    Keeping your toes warm

Pure wool socks are the best - or walking hiking socks . If you can’t get your tootsies warm put a thin pair of socks on then a thicker pair over the top

    Keeping your toes warm

Have to be careful using a hot water bottle , can cause chilblains and if your circulation isn’t good can burn , as a carer we are not allowed to give them to anyone with diabetes or in fact to anyone at all

    Metformin and mood?

I think possibly you were confusing ‘feeling low’ with the chronic hunger pangs that hyperglycaemia gives you . If you have just been diagnosed then I’m pretty certain your levels are high. I was eating and eating before being diagnosed. No snickers for us now then !
