I'll try it. We were on Oatly for a while and that tastes nice but is about half the carbs.The daft thing is the more stressed I get about the weight, the more cups of tea I tend to drink :D

Yes,I think this is the way to go. With whatever kind of milk, just measure some into a wee jug and use that only.

The green milk, is it semi skimmed? But I love jersey milk so that's an idea!

I was drinking tea on and off all day though, with a fair amount of milk in it. Not just one or two tablespoons. I think I'll pour out a pint in a separate jug then include that in the carb total for the day.

He's always had this high reading in the morning but never this high Mark. We've had some stress lately over a son and that might not be helping. TY!

Thanks for fast reply xx - No meds, diet only. On his meter, He washed hands etc and redid it and it was 9.5. Usually high 7s in the mornings. He's cracking up here :( He is very tired just now but he's 79. On other meds but nothing new. Might be a cold or bug cooking.

Husband recently went back to low carb after slipping a bit the last few months. Now his morning BG is in the 9s - unheard of! Any idea what might cause this?

Good idea, I shouldn't assume it's the milk but I do drink far too much of it - didnt realise how many carbs it has. I will swap to cream in coffee, instead of coffeemate and buy one carton of each kind of non-dairy milk during the week and try them all. This cannot go on or I'll look like a...

Antje I take a lot of milk in my tea, and I drink a lot of tea! :oops: It's def not helping.. Apart from that I've got a very poor appetite and can manage happily on one meal a day. I do try to eat more (because people say your body clings on to every carb when you don't eat enough) but it's not...
