    weird question

Hi, I’m T1 and had an implant for many years. No nothing, it was great. Moved into a shared house of women. Cramps, intermittent periods. The lot. Not a weird question. Depending on what time of the month it is does change your sugar levels. Just something else to put up with.

Understanding how T1 is passed to children!?

I’ll just throw this in there and I’ll have to get back to you with the results. I’m T1 with a T1 younger bro, diagnosed at ages 14 & 13 respectively. No known cases on either side of the family. I am currently pregnant with our first. My husband has a T2 dad and uncle, not T2 himself (yet?)...

    Anxious, Worried and Stressed

Hi, I’ve been T1 for 24 years now and it’s only in the last few ,(since it came out) that I’ve been taking Tresiba. I also take Humalog. How often are you adjusting your Tresiba? It is a pain to wait for the adjustments to take effect but I’ve found that since being on it I’ve had the best...

    Diabetes at work

What an absolutely outrageous request! This is something you have a quiet word with hr about, reminding them about their responsibility to protect you against this kind of discrimination. No one with a heart condition would be asked to pop pills in a toilet, nor an asthmatic take their inhaler...

Running out of ways to attempt to reduce my HbA1c - please help

Hi @tiredoftrying2017 I'm also trying to get pregnant. I agree with everything that's come before. I just wanted to say good luck. I also have a job that makes it hard to test. I have a libre and it's on 24/7 thanks to my work healthcare paying for it. Don't suppose you have anything like that...

CGM & how to go about them..

I've been on the libre for 8 months now and I wouldn't go back. It's unobtrusive, I don't find it hurts to put on and really I forget it's there most of the time. Initially I was self funded and could only afford one sensor a month, but I now use my work health insurance to cover the cost. Libre...

    Type 2 Buying insulin

That sounds incredibly dangerous, to restrict insulin. I've had to fight for test strips once but I simply told the doctor that tried it on me to take a walk and enrolled at another clinic. This is something you go to the press with. Get in contact with our lovely forum hosts.

    Pregnancy and an awkward job

Hi, has anyone got any insight into coping with being a pregnant T1 in a work place where it's difficult to deal with ups and downs? I have to be sat in a certain place at a certain time with full concentration on what I'm doing. Dealing with a high or low is difficult at the best of times. The...
