    I was classed as type 2. The doctor said I was in remission and taken me off metformin. This was based on an hba1c reading being low 30s.

    Agree, best do your own research. I would never take them either. I believe cholesterol can be sorted by exercise and diet.

    I was told I didn't need to test. They gave in and gave me a meter. But I have to buy test strips and lances. No prescription possible. I agree it's a scandal.

    Thanks Rachox, my problem being any older man is my fat is all round my middle quite lean elsewhere. Of course fat round the middle is a cause of t2. My waist is 36in. So not too bad. Just want to shift a few more pounds get that T2 totally reversed [emoji4]
