I started putting the pods at the top of my arms about 9 months ago and it seems to be working fine for me, I alternate between arms every three days. I do occasionally use stomach area but that's were I put my Dexcom CGM .

I use the Omnipod along with Dexcom CGM and find both very easy to use, in fact if it wasn't for the alarm telling me to change pods every three days I think I would forget I was using a pump it is so brilliant.

I also have an Omnipod on NHS however I was initially turned down by my local hospital but my GP referred me to a consultant who got me a pump within two weeks. I will always recommend Omnipod because the freedom of not having tubes is fantastic and it is so easy to manage.

I think it is a good idea to keep the pods well away from any scars, I learned the hard way, I have a large scar from having my pancreas removed and suffer terrific pain if I place the pods anywhere near.

I have been on the Omnipod for nearly two years now and it really is a very simple pump to use, I did have a break from it earlier this year to try the 640g however I did miss the convenience of having a tubeless system so I returned to the Omnipod and I love it.

After two years of putting the pods on my stomach I've started getting bleeding quite badly, so I'm trying putting the pods on my arms and so far all is good, my consultant reckons I may be hitting blood vessels.

Excellent choice of pump, I have had an Omnipod for nearly two years and love it. Not being attached to tubes is a big plus, however you must be careful to have the pump with you at all times.

I also have a Mac and the software supplied by Omnipod is not compatible with Apple, however if you download software from diasend.com it will work on Mac and you can send results direct to your diabetes clinic

I agree the Manchester Diabetes Centre in Hathersage Road, is the best place in the North West for care and support particularly if you are using a pump. I travel from Lytham St Anne's to them because of their excellent service.

It will be worth the wait when your Omnipod eventually arrives, I love mine it is wonderful not having all that tubing, which I seemed to always get caught on door handles
