    Why So Perfect?

    Yep thats the DAFNE course mate. I'm on 2 units to 1 carb portion in the morning, 1.5 to 1 at lunch and 1 to 1 at tea time. Are you doing 4 bloods a day? I find if I dont I loose all control!!

    Hi Mr Burden I'm 35 with 25 years experience and on the same insulin and split Levimir as yourself. Thats one long honeymoon period you have had there!! A mystery to me why you suddenly start having hypos!!! Are you conrolling the amount of novorapid by DAFNE? Eddie

    I have been DAFNE'd as well Nigel!! HBA1c pre dafne between 9 + 10% and after 7%! The doctor said last time I went "dont know what your doing but just keep doing it!!" and that in front of 4 students!

    Ian I personally think you are doing too much insulin for the amount of food that you are taking onboard!! I would do 3-4 units for 2 pieces of toast dependent on what my sugar was pre toast. Ed

    Hi If your BS is fine all day then it can only be the evening Latus that is the problem. Do you have a snack before bed? Maybe try a couple of pieces of toast or digestives. Might just keep it up that little bit if you are not confident about reducing your insulin anymore. Hope that helps. Ed

    The WII FIT!!!!!!

    hi all The wii fit does the world of good although I also play rugby so am generally fit anyway. 3000 hula hoops and increasing! The Mrs is on the Wii fit now as well and loves it. My BMI is 28.85 but I tend to ignore that as I'm 6'5 and 17.5 stone but most of this is muscle!

    HI there. Could be a number of things 1. Possibly something sweet hand got onto the testing area 2. Bad meter reading (which can happen) If it is ever high retest is the only way of double checking! Eddie

    Can I just add I tested before breakfast (8am) this morning 5.5. Half asleep in work at 10 I tested again and was 12.4. Before lunch tested and was 5.6. Pretty spot on amount of insulin this morning!

    2hrs after eating you would get a false result as your body is processing the food so basically your testing the food!
