    Temper

    I have become very short tempered since being on Metaformin for one month . But maybe we are blaming the drugs when in fact its just the mental shock of diagnosis and change of diet and lifestyle.

    Feeling down

    So its decided after test results that I am type 2 , even though my initial symptoms pointed to my being type 1. That's ok and I am getting my blood glucose levels down to around 5-6 . Its only been a month since diagnosis and I seem to be doing ok, so why do I feel so depressed ?.

    Hi i just wondered if you are still following Neal Barnard's diet, having been diagnosed one month ago ,i do not like the idea of LCHF diet and would like to try his diet, even though it seems a bit scary to make such big change.

    Thanks I will talk to gp about this, as you say driving with the shakes is not fun. For me it was the first time driving after being diagnosed and it has put me off driving again until this is sorted.

    Yes taking 40mg Glicazide twice daily, and Metaformin 500 twice daily , only 3 weeks since diagnosis, so still trying to get things settled down. Thanks
