Any fish recipes that are easy and quick to do

Recipes making me hungry already! I cook a lot of fish. Would usually make a marinade using some of these ingredients, depending on the fish. Greek yoghurt- keeps the fish moist. Olive or rapeseed oil, salt, pepper / hot chilli, mixed herbs, curry powder, sliced onions. Sometimes I toss a...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Not sure if it's my appreciating my neighbour inviting me or my love of Chinese take-away, but either reason makes it impossible to decline the invitation. Both sound like valid reasons :) Good luck and let us know how it went.

    Post Lockdown Dental Care

I do think £40 extra per visit is way too much. Especially given that they they already cleaned constantly before now. Any amount under £15 is reasonable. Higher extras mean they are making clients pay for the ‘gaps’ from no waiting. They should also work more efficiently. Finish appointments...

    Anyone been shopping yet?

I order the bulk of my groceries online when there are slots available. Did take daughter to supermarket for Father’s Day food. We both had masks and gloves. About 20 people in the small supermarket and almost all ignored the markers on the floor. None had any masks:(

Indeed. I wonder how many other businesses / services will introduce a “virus tax” to punish us all?

    Post Lockdown Dental Care

I was already late for my Dental checks when Covid struck. The practice emailed to say they are opening for limited service. Great, I thought. The email included the following - “We would like ....to inform all our patients that due to extra enhanced PPE that you will see during your treatment...

What are you doing to keep covid out of your home

At the start, I bought half a dozen 50ml bottles of sanitisers and have one to each family member. Also left some in the toilets at home. I still carry one in my handbag to disinfect supermarket trolleys, baskets, and before returning to the car. I mopped the hard floors with Zoflora every few...

What are you doing to keep covid out of your home

Yep I did not park near the van. They were kind enough to take my £200 worth of shopping to where I parked the car. My only issue with Click collect and home deliveries is you cannot return an item or substitute you do not want. Or did not order for that matter. I ordered £1 men’s body wash for...

COVID-19: are you wearing a mask?

Yes to face mask when I am out. Plus social distancing. Though some supermarket aisles do not help. I have to be careful as vulnerable person in my household. Bought them online - blue and white type. I do find it difficult to breathe when wearing them for long spells, though.

    Listerine

Brownish. True. Like coffee and tea stains. Got told off by the Hygienist for using Corsodyl. Recommended by the Dentist! Said 7 - 14 days max is the recommended

The future of our health and our health system.

The food / waste is a disgrace. I agree. Maybe the cost of sterilising the equipment for re-use is quite high and not worth it? However, I can see that the children’s hospital we attend are making efforts to cut waste in many areas. In the past, towels, beddings, etc. were in excess. You could...

I’m with you on that one. My new job involves a fair amount of lunches and breakfast with pastries. I do the same. And get raised brows. Sometimes I give up altogether and just go OMAD. Then I feel smug as I watch them load up:happy:

Diagnosed with type 2 yesterday, bf dumped me

I’d be pretty irrational too if my other half said and did these things. So stop blaming yourself. And as many have said on here, keep loving yourself. And enjoy the warmth and support from folks here. They are all amazing:)

My doctor is concerned about my mental state due to me starting LCHF

Hubby went down this path. He couldn’t be bothered to keep explaining to Doc and DN who kept preaching the Eat Well plate. And higher doses of Metformin. He ignored their advice and went LCHF. With fantastic results! They still believe he is their ‘success story’
