    Basic Information For New Members

I was diagnosed with T1 and finding this forum was a massive help. I did not think actually that it is T2 mostly. I just really appreciate help and support and the fact that members are so active. I would always get a reply. So I dont think isolating T1 is necessary nor that it would improve...

Do I have diabetes or just hypochondria!?

regarding the eyes - I had similar story to yours I think. I always had very good vision and then I noticed that I canot focus my eyes to read small print, which was very weird. I went to boots, got eye test and they prescribed reading glasses to me. Few months later I was diagnosed with T1...

Hi, I live in North London and I asked for Libre from my local GP. I did not talk to the doctor but just wrote it on that paper form you give to receptionist with other prescriptions I need such as insulins, needles etc. They confirmed it and gave me a prescription for 1 sensor a month. Later...

Likely results of LCHF diet for an already thin person?

I was thin all my life and putting on weight was my struggle at times. I lost 9kg before diagnosis due to dka which was horrible. And when I switched to lchf I gained all that weight back. I think it depends how much you eat. I have around 30g carbs a day and around 2000-2500 cal a day, probably...

    Life with diabetes

The way you are thinking is so increadibly mature, it is almost a bit uncomfortable. I wish I could see things like you do and maybe some time in the future I will. I think the point is that how we think leads us into worse or better place and thinking t1 sucks, that it takes something away from...
