    NHS Dietitian Contradicting Himself

Hey guys, Alexander here from San Antonio, Texas. I was reading the posts here and want to chime in. First, that was a ridiculous statement made by that dietitian. I agree with the person that said is taking meds cheating? Anyway, for those of you interested, I found out about a Dr Jason Fung...

I’m going back to my old ways[emoji17]

In my opinion, stay honest. Don't lie to yourself or anyone. Look for alternative solutions. Use Stevia or xylitol as a sweetner. Both are better than any big market soda. I buy sparkling water and add organic vanilla extract and organic stevia to make my organic soda. It tastes good and I enjoy...

    Type 1.5 Stressed out

Hey Conrad, there are other things that you can do to lower your blood pressure, like controlling your salt intake, incorporate avacodos, broccoli, kale, quinoa into your diet. Watch what you eat and you can control your situation. Good luck, take care and God bless you.

    Introducing myself

Gollygirl, I am a type 2 diabetic. I control my sugar with diet. I know it's worse for you than for me. That being said, I am on a mission to undo or reverse my diabetes. I may it ever reach my goal but I'll die trying. You might do the same, rather than letting this dreadful disease control...

    Alternative Meds

This may be true only in America but I thought I'd share some thoughts with you. From GreenMedInfo Natural medicine was once the only medicine. It wasn’t considered “an alternative.” That only happened much later, after synthetically produced, patent drugs came onto the scene, and profit and...

    Opinions please - prediabetes/insulin resistance.

Dear ByJingo or Mum, I agree that your glucose reading after meals is high at 185 mg/dl but your HbA1c is great. I too was told that a non diabetic persons reading does not exceed 140 mg/dl. Especially after 2 hours after eating. I myself have tested my family when I was the only diabetic among...

Not true, I'm not on meds and I'm diabetic. I have it under control with diet alone. Keep your chin up and God bless you.

    Introducing myself

In all fairness, I am very particular about my foods and eating habits. Either I grow my food or it has to be organic. I follow the Bible as for what we should eat. I don't eat pork, shell fish not fish without scales. I have chickens that are fed organic feed and goats also. I have a 12 foot by...

    Introducing myself

Thank you, I can control my sugars just fine. What I'd like to do is undo or reverse my diabetes. I recently tried fasting for 3 weeks but had to abort my fast 2 weeks in when my blood sugars dropped to 44 mg/dl. Sorry, I'm not sure what it is in your readings. 80 - 110 is considered normal...

Blood Tests - HbA1c vs Fasting Blood Sugar

If I ever heard a nurse tell me that, I'd get up and leave, then go elsewhere to find someone that knew better.

Blood Tests - HbA1c vs Fasting Blood Sugar

Hi, here in the USA, we take random and fasting glucose reads just to know how we are controlling our sugars and to know what foods affect our sugars. The HbA1c is an appropriate measurement of a 3 month average.
