It's the barrier film spray I've been using, actually. I still seem to get itchy under the patch by day 3. However, I know my skin is especially sensitive right now (although I don't know why). Hopefully you won't have the same trouble.

Any Medtrum users here? Do you get irritated skin under your patch pump too? I've tried using Cavilon, but (a) it's quite expensive, and (b) it helps quite a bit, but doesn't fully resolve the problem. Does anyone know of any better alternatives to Cavilon? Or are there any other tips...

Thanks for the replies. I think the problem is an excess of insulin, so my next step is simply to take my pump of an hour before I plan to ride. We'll see how that goes - it's all trial and error!

Looking for advice from anyone who is both type 1 and keto - how to treat hypos during prolonged exercise? I like to cycle long-distance, and normally do so fasted, but if I hit a hypo, I have to treat it with glucose, which tips me back into carb-burning...

You could try Oppo ice cream. Much lower in carbs, so should be easier to bolus for.

I see you've already gone to Pharmacy2U, @UK T1 - a good choice, in my view, too. For any others who may come across this thread, though: I tried Echo previously and they were terrible. Two orders, both times the items were out of stock, and they failed to notify me on both occasions...
