    Freestyle Libre very inaccurate??

I've been told no for dosing, especially with pump microdosing. Mad how much variance there is in different areas!

    Freestyle Libre very inaccurate??

I found, if its any help, that I have gotten to learn libre. It usually reads lower for me, too. I now don't use it for dosing, but it is still invaluable for learning trends, and that arrow usually doesn't lie.

What is the best diet a diabetic should be on?

I gave myself a version of what is known as 'orthorexia' when trying to find the 'best' diabetic diet; I became really super stressed out about carbs and all the 'rules' of all the supposed best diets. I tried them all: bernstein, low carb, keto, vegan but the effect on my mental health really...

CGM sensors - are they accurate?

I fall into the category of people whom CGM isn't that accurate for, with similar discrepancies in A1C stuff. I still find it really useful for trends though. I was without one for a week there and it made me realise how reliant I am on it for confidence with corrections.

    Period/hormones - HELP

Hi Briony! I find this SO MUCH every single month, and, unless you have a standard 28 day cycle, it is so hard to stay on top of. I usually have a day of trying to control crazy sugars before I cotton on. Resistance seems to be worst in the morning for me. The pump helps me a LOT. I've only...

Poll: Which diabetes course(s) have you attended?

Diagnosed in 1999, did DAFNE in 2019. To be fair, I hadn't darkened the door of a clinic for 12 years. I really, really, really enjoyed it. I knew how to count carbs, but DAFNE helped me slot it all into place. It was also the first time ever in my life I realised that other people have blood...

Does anybody else inject in the morning without food?

I used to have to do this before getting out of bed in the morning. It was definitely exacerbated by morning exercise and not eating, but the high blood sugar made it really hard to face food. I had blood sugar readings as high as 17 (and once, before a stressful clinic appointment managed to...

I was in Siberia last year (-35 at times, so really cold), and just tucked my insulin into the inside pocket of my coat, as close to my body as I could.

Best place to wear pump for a night out in a dress

I mostly wear dresses and clip mine between my boobs in my bra. Works really well for me and any time I am in jeans, I really struggle with it in pockets! 640 here as well.
