Thank you buikbiker and ziggyw for your encouraging comments, as a result of which I'm currently undertaking another 48 hourish fast in hopes of improvement.

End of February 48 hour group fasting support

Thank you again. I don't do stress and, mercifully, don't have depression so, I suppose, I shall have to keep working at it and join you in the next fast. My only reservation is that my BMI is lowish and I don't really want to lose weight. Thanks, again, for your helpful responses and inspiration.

End of February 48 hour group fasting support

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I've been diagnosed for 10 months and have been doing lchf since. I still have dp. I once managed an Hbaic of 5.7 but since it's been over 6. Any suggestions about bringing the number down?

End of February 48 hour group fasting support

Although I didn't register my intention to join in the 48 hour fast, I have just completed it. Thank you to Goonergal and Shelley for promoting it. It doesn't seem to have had a very positive effect. I had hoped that fasting would reduce my bs level substantially. Sadly, this was not the case...

    Sky High hba1C - Hopes & Fears

I was 128 at diagnosis, after three months and eating LCHF and doing some intermittent fasting, I was 53. I was slim to start with, now I'm even slimmer but it's a way of life that seems to work on high blood sugar, as others on the thread have shown. Good luck, there's no reason why you...

    Sudden Jump in Cholesterol Level

Thank you all for these pieces of info'. You seem to suggest that levels might lower again. which is hopeful. I've been doing LCHF for about 7 months now and this has only just happened. I have lost some weight: down from 8 and a half stone to 7 and a half stone.

    Sudden Jump in Cholesterol Level

I received a letter from my surgery, informing me that my cholesterol level has jumped from 4.84 to 7.4 in three months. I don't yet know the HDL/LDL distribution, but when it was 4.84 they were evenly balanced. I have followed LCHF since I was diagnosed in April 2018. Can anybody explain why...

Can Anyone Help Please - Event/meeting 1st September- Birmingham

I might not be able to come to Birmingham as it's quite a distance from where I live. Largely, it will depend on time and venue but I should like to record my Hba1c fall. I was diagnosed in April this year with readings of 128/ 13.94% which seem to be a lot higher than the beginning readings of...

Type 2 T2 Normal Bmi - Low Cal Diet Advice

I, too, am slim and when I was diagnosed in April of this year, I started LCHF, despite my doctor's anxious cry of, " but you haven't got any weight to lose." I lost 9 pounds and have stabilised at 8st 2lbs which is still inside the normal BMI range. My blood glucose readings are reasonable...

Type 2 Dn Alarmed Me Over My Own Bg Readings...

Visited the DN today, having been diagnosed with T2 April, 2018. She suggested that the results from my daily self-monitoring of bg might be substantially different from those offered by the Hospital's three monthly blood tests of Hbaic. Have other members found great differences between their...
