The last time I recommend low carb to an audience on reddit.

Posting an evidence based article wasn't enough to sway this lot. To be fair to her she is a nurse so to balance it out a bit she might have been right, but still, i'm a firm believer in low carb diets.

Contrary to myth, you can take your own food in usually. I normally take peach water, beef jerky, peanuts or cashews, apple slices or dried fruit to munch.

    Needle stuck in skin, Ouch!

I think I over reacted a little bit but I know needles can snap and I wouldn't want that stuck in my stomach forever! It might well be the new needles, if it happens again i'll say something. Haha :smug:

    Needle stuck in skin, Ouch!

TLDR at the bottom So I've been a diabetic for 9 years and today is the first time this has happened. Bricks were excreted by me today, how can a tiny 4mm cause so much panic in a 23 year old? I injected as normal, waited 10 seconds and went to pull the pen and needle away from my stomach...

    novorapid flexpen

Maybe it was a mixtard or something, it didn't state which insulin it was. Wonder if it makes any difference though

    novorapid flexpen

Ive just been approved for a Novopen Echo. Looking forward to using it :). I just watched GPs behind closed doors I didnt realise your supposed to shake the insulin pen and rub it to loosen the insulin in the pen

    novorapid flexpen

Sure. When I used to use the Novopen 4 I thought the build quality was far superior to the mass produced flexipens. The plunger was built better, there was no wastage in the end of the penfills compared to the flexipens, and I notice a lot of the time with my flexipens sometimes when I plunge...

    Type 2 Pot noodle

Get yourself some Beef jerky. Also, carbs are important but if you eat something with lots of sugars in those carbs you'll notice an even more negative effect.
