My doctor told me to stop taking my steroids as they can cause blood sugar to rise. This last few days my mmol/l readings have been odd. As today, 12pm my reading was 24.0. 6. After...

I’ve cut out jam and butter. I eat brown bread. An example, yssterday I had porridge for breakfast, 2 boiled eggs with brown bread for lunch and salmon, broccoli, and boiled potatoes for dinner. And yes, 3 chocolate biscuits. I don’t eat takeaways any more and avoid chips.

Type 2 Large variations in blood sugar

Hi, I have type 2 Diabetes. My mmol/l readings seem too erratic. The reading can vary from 14.2 to 27.8. I’m feeling terribly tired and energy level is low. I have even tested on a different monitor and used control solution to check my monitor. I’m not too worried yet, but is this normal...

    Type 2 Home Testing Kit

Hi again and thank you. I was diagnosed just over 12 months ago. My reading then was 60. It did go down to 56 and then 96. I’m not over weight, in fact, I’m losing weight. I have changed my eating habits that, more or less, follows the diet my doctor gave to me.

    Type 2 Home Testing Kit

Thank you for that. Yes, Trajenta is for Diabetes. It’s an additional tablet to take with Metformin. My last blood test at the surgery was 96. Apparently, that was high, but I don’t know what measure method that was. And yes, this was my first home test.

Hi, I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes over a year ago. My Hba1c result was 60. I didn’t feel this was too bad and started on Metformin. These gave me the runs and a painful stomach.
