    Getting a pump

So the Tandem loops with the G6 which is great but not the G7 yet. It's a bit fiddly to fill but you get used to it. The only way to bolus is from the pump itself which is a pain. I was told over a year ago that the phone app to bolus would be available in the UK within the year, it's still not...

Confused with celiac blood test results

Hi thought I'd just give my thoughts. My daughter has coeliac disease. She was 7 when diagnosed, now 14. Having been through the whole awful, difficult process with her I would say that in the UK anyway there are advantages to an official diagnosis. She gets regular checkups every year with a...

Type 1 diabetic for 18 years, finally have given up and wonder if anyone else feels like I do

New(ish) pump user - leaking cannula?

    Feeling down.

I think you are amazing for even posting here at the age of 15. I was diagnosed just after having my daughter at the age of 28 and felt so alone and actually still do. You are braver than you realise. Ask anyone for help, a doctor, mum, dad, friends, a nurse, teacher. It does not mean they will...

Opinions wanted from fellow type 1's

Everything really. I do find it really hard always having the pump attached to me; never alone, a constant reminder ☹️

    Insulin pump - Disneyland Paris

Hi We went 3 years ago, I had a pump and they were amazing. I showed them my letter from the hospital and they would just scan my bag and let me go through without scanning. My doctor at home told me that they are better with pumps in France because more people have them, he wasn't wrong. The...

    Scared of the Risks!

Hi I am new to this forum but I saw your post and had to respond. Nearly 11 years ago I had my beautiful daughter. At the time of conception and for the first 3 months of my pregnancy I did not know I was type 1, so as you can imagine it was devastating to find out. Controling my blood sugar was...
