    Confused

Maybe it could just be non-diabetic episodes of hypoglycemia, as I have had these episodes for a while. I try to eat well and not overload on carbs or anything, but these things still happen. :***:

I am not taking anything as I am non-diagnosed. Also, I'm sorry you didn't sleep well! :(

Oooh, I actually did not know this. I thought that they happened when you took too much insulin or didn't eat enough with the bolus, thank you for clarifying this for me!! :)

    Confused

No. I did try to bring it up with my doctor about t=similar symptoms in 2017 I believe, but A1C was 5.2, which was weird because I was definitely experiencing something or another. I understand that it's probably not diabetes, but the symptoms I was and am feeling made me believe it to be but...

    Confused

I do not. This is because at the time I purchased a meter, I was under the assumption that it had strips with it and have not yet been able to test anything, but I am soon to buy them. I understand that it may or may not have any correlation to diabetes, I just have no earthly clue what is going...

    Confused

So this is going to sound super weird but I don't know what else to do. I have started having some strange diabetes symptoms here lately, such as hypoglycemic episodes and other things. I'll get nauseous, dizzy and feel sick and shaky and space out for a bit (like right now) until I've got...

    Hypos and Marching Band

!!!! How in the world have I never known about this? Maybe we follow guidelines but? Our band contracts don't even mention this??

    Hypos and Marching Band

I'd say our longer rehearsals makes up for not having to march every day. It's gross when it's hot out, but we only have to put up with it for a bit.

    Hypos and Marching Band

So, every year we have a different show that requires us to learn sets (where we stand in the show) and how to move between them and make it work. It's fun when you start to learn all of them, and then rehearsal moves more smoothly, nut those Tuesday and Thursday rehearsals aren't the half of...

Wow! I did not know that it could have something to do with the liver. Very interesting. I might try to get in an appointment with an endo if possible. Thanks

    Hypos and Marching Band

So our rehearsals are after school, and that is why we have so much time for them. It used to be from 3:00-5:30 and now it's 1:20-5:30. Woohoo

I did talk to my school nurse, and she was very helpful. She told me about what I already know, to monitor it, talk to parents and doctor

    Hypos and Marching Band

So, I did talk to them about the issue last year when I thought I had diabetes, but I was really nervous to, but they did not really do anything about it. The following GP visit, I talked to my doc about it, and she tested for something to do with my thyroid and my "blood." Not my A1C, I...

    Hypos and Marching Band

So I do have a meter I bought and it came with a lancet device, lancets... but, stupid me forgot to buy test strips haha. I'm going to try to get them soon, and I have a sort of plan(?) to get into talking with my doctor about whatever's going on. It does seem like a good idea to put out a...

    Hypos and Marching Band

Most definitely physical. Marching band for me, a mellophone player, is four/five hours of walking or doing visuals on a bumpy grass field under the sun. Fun times. ;)

I will definitely do this, and I might try looking into Addison's Disease a bit more. Mimics diabetes symptoms but includes the low blood pressure thing I mentioned earlier. Thank you =-)

    Hypos and Marching Band

Actually, yes, sometimes. Mainly when I wake up I get dizzy when I stand from bed and I can feel the blood rush from my head, but there have been times where I wake up and feel nauseous and shaky. It goes away after 15-20 minutes of eating and then I'm okay. To answer the other questions, I try...

    Hypos and Marching Band

Thanks so much, you guys. I have been wondering if it's something like Reactive Hypoglycemia, because of when and how it happens. I'll feel so out of it and shaky after band, but it can also happen if I have not eaten in a while. It's scariest while driving. I might try to buy something to check...

    Hypos and Marching Band

Okay. I did have my blood level checked out in a doctor's appointment, and they said it was normal. I'm probably just worrying over nothing, but I like to say better safe than sorry. It's just weird to be the only one that feels that way after I march. I'll ask the nurse today. Thanks a bunch!

    Hypos and Marching Band

Hey fellas! So I am in a marching band at my school, which requires us being outside for about three-four hours every two days during the fall marching. Last year, I started to notice that I was getting very shaky and dizzy while doing band, and thought that it was from not enough water intake...
