Thanks for the reply. It happens with all food so I can’t experiment with foods. I was just wondering if these blood tests are completely accurate. The GP was convinced it was diabetes as I have all the symptoms so I thought maybe the test could be wrong.

Thanks for the replies. I didn’t think the high sugar readings made the BP drop but I just wanted to be sure. Will let the Consultant know on Tuesday as it’s the holiday weekend.

Thanks for that but it doesn’t matter what I eat the BP still drops. They say postprandial hypotension usually affects the elderly or people with high BP which is not me. Everything else was ruled out. This is why my Consultant thought maybe my Blood Sugar was dropping which obviously it isn't...

I had a blood pressure monitor for a week to record the readings and the GP and Cardioligist confirmed it was dropping and was low.

Thing is I’m not really that old and I don’t eat big meals as I have a Pancreas problem.

I took the readings when I felt the symptoms. I’m on an inhaler for asthma and an antihistamine but the Doctors know about them. They can’t figure out what’s causing the BP to drop.

I’m actually slightly underweight and the Gastro consultant is trying to get me to put weight in. After I eat I feel dizzy/faint , really tired and sometimes I sweat and my blood pressure drops. The Consultant thought the drop in BP was due to low blood sugar.
