    How to split Levemir dose

IT'S YOU'RE WHERE DO YOU GET FACTS TO SUPPORT YOUR CLAIM "the more you inject, the longer it takes to finish working" IT LASTS AS LONG AS IT LASTS...TAKING MORE DOESN'T MAKE IT LAST LONGER, IF YOU TAKE 1 TYLENOL OR 1 TYLENOL IT STILL ONLY LAST 4 OR 6 HOURS? Also, the reason one splits a dose...

Type 1 First hypo related seizure

How are we all considered "well managed"..i'd say the opposite is true, type 1 is a hideous ever changing disease and very few are 'well managed' and no one just considers any of us 'well managed' paramedics, ERs etc...are filled daily with diabetes related complications and issues.

Type 1 First hypo related seizure

you said you had no recollection of it yet you're explaining exactly what happened, this all sounds very odd.

Type 1 First hypo related seizure

if you have epilepsy which again I'm not understanding any of this, who found you, who called 911, an ambulance, etc...then why are you suggesting it was basal insulin, which again it's long acting and changing a dose takes a few days to even notice.

Type 1 First hypo related seizure

hum, long acting insulin and an increase in 3 units would NOT cause a seizure type low, it's long acting and regardless of what basal you take it takes days for changes toeven take effect so this doesn't make any sense. Wear a CGM

    Reactions to Levemir

you broke out in a rash all over your body and your GP didn't seem to care..hum, I'd definitely get a new doctor and fast. if it was an allergic reaction to your insulin (which is very very rare) you'd probably get like hives around the injection point. inject a drop just under the skin, see if...

Lantus to Levemir: in need of encouragement

why post something like this, these are incorrect statements, the poster already mentioned she's scared and very insulin sensitive, as am I, she's working with her health care team...so posting nonsense like this is not beneficial!

    Lantus to Tresiba

I've recently switched, per my Endo's recommendations, from Levemir to Tresiba and honestly am having a horrible time with this. It stays in the system 36 hours so the titrating up and down seems to take forever to take effect, too. I'm going really high with meals, too....so I'm not sure I'm...

    Question for Tresiba users

SO HOW DOES THIS EVEN MAKE SENSE. No one I know cuts back that much switching from two different basals. And, the fact is Levemir is STRONGER than Tresiba (obviously...that's why Tresiba lasts so long). Levemir is stronger but doesn't last long enough, Tresiba is not so strong because it lasts...

    Question for Tresiba users

I seriously cannot believe a type 1 would listen to Birenstein. Also, YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO SPLIT THE DOSE. The entire purpose of switching to Tresiba is it lasts for nearly 40 hours. WHAT THE HECK IS THE POINT IN SPLITTING THE DOSE, YOU'RE MESSING WITH THE ENTIRE FUNCTION MECHANICS OF THE...
